September Round-Up

A playground, a deadline and a next day delivery!

A newly built playground at a primary school in County Durham had a problem. Bad weather had dislodged debris from the freshly laid surface, and with the children due back, there was no time to waste.

We delivered a Tennant T6100 Ride-On Sweeper the very next day, with on-site training so the school's team could use it straight away. With that much ground to cover, a ride-on was the right tool, and the playground was clean, clear and ready for the children to return.

We also supplied a logistics and warehouse team with a short-term hire of a Tennant T3 Pedestrian Scrubber Dryer.

Hiring industrial cleaning equipment can be the practical choice for a wide range of situations. Whether you need a machine for a one-off project, want to cover a gap while your own equipment is being serviced, or are looking for a longer-term arrangement without the commitment of purchasing outright, we can help - Contact us

Around the workshop:

We kicked off September by bringing everyone together for lunch at our offices in Bedale Hall. Our engineers are usually out on site, and the workshop team is busy at HQ, so it's rare to have the whole team under one roof.

Sandwiches, quiche and hummus were followed by a tray of brownies that, unsurprisingly, didn't last long.

It was a lovely way to start the month and a great reminder of the importance of making time to connect as a team.

Industrial Vacuums: Three sites, three kinds of dust

This month, we supplied a Nilfisk T40W Industrial Vacuum to a lift and escalator installation specialist based in Hertfordshire.

With teams working across lift, hydraulic and escalator divisions, including major projects such as Crossrail and the London Underground, maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment is essential to daily operations.

The Nilfisk T40W industrial vacuum provides the power and reliability needed to handle debris from installation and engineering work, giving the team a dependable solution to help keep their workshop running smoothly as they continue supporting major UK infrastructure projects.

Supporting Refuse Collection Vehicle Manufacturing:

Refuse collection vehicles take a real beating - oil, grease, metal swarf and general workshop debris are all part of daily life on the production line.

This month, Richard Moore headed to the North West to demonstrate a range of industrial vacuums to a leading refuse collection vehicle manufacturer.

The demonstration included the Nilfisk T40W Industrial Vacuum, the compact VHS011 Mini Industrial Vacuum and the Nilfisk S3 Industrial Vacuum, giving the team the opportunity to see different solutions suited to a demanding workshop environment.

Another great site visit and another great conversation. This is what we love about the job - getting out on site, understanding the challenges and finding equipment that works for the environment.

If your site is looking for the right industrial vacuum solution, we're always happy to come out and demonstrate what's possible.

From Oats to ATEX: A South Yorkshire Start-Up

We love working with start-ups, and this month was no exception.

We supplied a Nilfisk VHS010 Zone 22 Mini Industrial Vacuum to a South Yorkshire start-up producing superfood-enriched, gluten-free overnight oats. As with many growing businesses, budget was a key consideration, so we worked closely with the team to find a solution that fit both their needs and their means.

Handling gluten-free oats, milled seeds, and dried berries at production scale means fine particulate is part of daily operations - exactly the kind of environment where the right vacuum matters, however big or small the business.

It's always a pleasure to support local start-ups as they scale up, and we're proud to see their products already reaching food halls, farm shops, delis, and even Selfridges.

We look forward to welcoming them back as a returning customer as their business continues to grow.

Did you know: ACD — Appliances for Combustible Dust

ACD is a classification introduced under the international standard IEC 60335-2-69, which is now being regularly enforced and recommended by the HSE, as well as under DSEAR assessments.

Floorcare: For a local automotive dealership

A long-standing customer, a large automotive dealership in York, chose a Viper AS430B Battery Pedestrian Scrubber Dryer.

It's a simple, medium-sized walk-behind machine suited to mid-sized, high-traffic areas, and being battery-powered means it can move easily from the workshop through to the showroom.

Servicing: Preventative maintenance

We have serviced many machines this month, providing repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance for both new and existing customers.

Our engineering team has covered hundreds of miles across the region, helping to minimise downtime and keep our customers machines operating at peak performance.

Whether it's routine servicing, emergency repairs, or planned maintenance, get in touch and we'll do the rest.

Looking Ahead:

October is shaping up to be just as busy. If you are looking for industrial cleaning equipment, whether that is scrubber dryers, floor sweepers, industrial vacuums, or ATEX compliant solutions, we are always happy to have a conversation about what might work best for your site.
