August Round-Up
August has been another hot month at CFM North East, both in temperature and in business. As the summer holidays come to a close, we’ve seen a surge in demand, with cleaning machines flying out the door. Scrubber dryers have been especially popular with schools and colleges preparing for the new term.
Take a look at what we've been up to this month.
Floorcare: Schools out!
A highlight this month was supplying one of our regular contract cleaning customers with floorcare machines for schools and colleges across the country. We delivered a full range of equipment, from pedestrian and ride-on scrubber dryers to buffers and polishers, to sites in Birmingham, Bristol, and London. Short-term hire remains a popular choice for last-minute cleaning needs, and we always aim to provide hire equipment as quickly as possible.
Another highlight this month was a demo Richard attended at a local pie manufacturing facility, right on our doorstep. It's always a pleasure to meet and supply our neighbours with industrial cleaning solutions, a site visit is often the best course of action, and when it's this close to home, it couldn't be easier.
If you are not sure which scrubber dryer suits your site, take a look at our Scrubber Dryer Buying Guide for more tips and advice.

Industrial Vacuums: From Electrochemistry to Pet Nutraceuticals & Better Wellbeing Nutrition
Supporting Advanced Battery Manufacturing:
A leading electrochemistry manufacturing facility, specialising in patented battery innovation and commercially deployable long-duration energy storage solutions, needed a safe and efficient way to collect potentially hazardous materials within its production environment. A Nilfisk VHS110 Zone 22 industrial vacuum fitted with a Longopac® continuous bagging system was selected for the job.
The Nilfisk VHS110 Zone 22 industrial vacuum, combined with a Longopac® continuous bagging system, provided the ideal solution, offering safe collection and controlled disposal while meeting the requirements of an ATEX Zone 22 environment.

Supporting Manufacturing Pet Nutraceuticals:
Another highlight this month was the sale of a Nilfisk VHC120 industrial vacuum and a VHC011 mini industrial vacuum to a manufacturer of veterinary nutraceuticals. The two machines will be spread across their site, offering the manoeuvrability and flexibility needed to keep multiple areas covered.
Supporting Manufacturing Better Wellbeing Nutrition:
For a Middlesbrough-based nutrition manufacturer supplying the global food industry, a Nilfisk VHS210 Zone 22 industrial vacuum with a SkyVac high-reach pole set was the chosen solution.
In food and beverage production environments, ATEX industrial vacuum systems are essential for keeping safety and compliance at the forefront while helping protect both the business and its staff.
Servicing: Preventative maintenance
We have serviced a total of 15 machines this month, providing repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance for both new and existing customers. Our engineering team has covered hundreds of miles across the region, helping to minimise downtime and keep our customers machines operating at peak performance.
