May Round-Up at CFM

May has been a busy month at CFM, with new customer relationships to site visits and demonstrations. As we wrap up the month, here’s a look back at some of the highlights and successes from across the business.

Industries we have supplied this month:

Engineering -Aviation - Animal Food Production - Biotechnology -Automobile - Healthcare - Warehousing & Logistics - Paper & Pulp Manufacturing - Plastics & Machinists

This month we have demonstrated, supplied and delivered a huge variety of cleaning machines, including scrubber dryers, sweepers, pressure washers, industrial and ATEX- rated industrial vacuum cleaners, for many different industries and sectors.

As a team, it’s fantastic to see such a broad range of specialist companies continuing to contact us. We take great pride in providing the knowledge, support, and expertise behind every machine we supply, and our growing number of returning customers both longstanding and new reflects the trust and confidence businesses place with us.

Floorcare: From Swindon to Liverpool

Floorcare activity has been increasingly busy with recent machine sales and hires taking place across the UK.

We recently supplied a Viper AS6690T pedestrian scrubber dryer alongside a pedestrian Picobello sweeper to a large industrial plastics manufacturer with multiple branches nationwide this set was going to their branch in Swindon.

A part exchange was also agreed and we have since taken delivery of a Nilfisk SC800 scrubber dryer, which is currently being prepared and stripped for a full refurbishment in our HQ workshop.

In Liverpool, we successfully converted a short-term hire of a Viper AS710R ride on scrubber dryer into a full sale. The warehousing and logistics distribution facility was so impressed with the results this machine achieved they decided to purchase it.

It is always a pleasure to continue supplying the local community and businesses across the region.

This month also saw us provide a fully refurbished Viper AS510B battery-operated pedestrian scrubber dryer to a well-known northern discount superstore, another valued long term customer that continues to place their trust in us. It is always great to see our fully refurbished machines continuing to offer reliable and cost-effective cleaning solutions for busy retail environments.

HIRE: A biotechnology facility in the region

Recently, Rich visited a biotechnology facility in Middlesbrough that specialises in on-site hydrogen production, helping industrial users decarbonise energy-intensive processes.

The visit initially involved a demonstration of the Nilfisk VHS010 mini industrial vacuum, which then developed into a five-week hire of the machine. While short-term hire of an industrial vacuum is unusual for us, following the initial visit and several in-depth conversations, it became clear to Rich that the facility needed more time to assess whether the smaller industrial vacuum was the correct size and capability for their application

A trial period allows the customer to evaluate the machine within their day-to-day operation, ensuring they can make an informed decision.

We can not always facilitate a trial period on industrial vacuums due to required filter usage, however we will always endeavour to provide a solution for the customer and their facility.

Also out on hire we have a short-term one week hire of an AS710R ride on scrubber dryer to a facilities management company in Billingham.

Alongside our long-term hire and lease agreements, short-term hire continues to play an important role in supporting businesses with flexible and cost-effective cleaning solutions.

Nilfisk VHS010 Mini Industrial Vacuum

What is a Mini Industrial Vacuum ? Why choose one?

The Mini IVAC is a compact industrial vacuum designed for pharmaceutical, cleanroom, food production and electronics manufacturing environments. It’s used for spot cleaning and dust collection at the point of work, typically it is wheeled around as a portable unit. It is also available in an ATEX Zone 22 explosion-proof version.

Two things set it apart from a general purpose industrial vacuum its small physical footprint and its filtration. Both matter for the kind of work it’s built for.

Industrial Vacuums: Aerospace engineering to horse feed manufacturing

We are seeing an increase in enquiries for all Industrial Vacuums and ATEX applications. Here are just a few of our most recent sales.

We have delivered a Nilfisk CTS40 ATEX 3 Phase industrial vacuum to a pulp & paper manufacturing facility. This is the third industrial vacuum they have recently purchased from us.

We have sold two Nilfisk ATTIX 40 Zone 22 vacuums one to an orthopedic manufacturing facility and another to a specialist surface preparation company, the ATTIX 40 TYPE 22 and ATTIX 7 TYPE 22 machines are powerful vacuum cleaners with stainless steel containers approved to be used for both M-class dust and ATEX Zone 22environments.

We also delivered a Nilfisk VHS120 FN Complete Box industrial vacuum to an engineering design manufacturing facility which specialises in the testing of metal components specifically for aerospace, the ‘complete box’ is a single-phase industrial vacuum with a full tool kit included.

A horse feed manufacturing plant based in Norfolk also purchased two Nilfisk VHS210 Zone 22 ATEX industrial vacuums. This sale was a particularly pleasing win for Rich, with pure honesty and advice, a volume discount for two vacuums and the added reassurance of exceptional aftersales care and ongoing support.

Fully Refurbished: Why a leading North East Motor Group chose the AS710R Ride on Scrubber Dryer

Rich recently attended a site visit with two ride on scrubber dryers, the Viper AS530R and the Viper AS710R to help a long-standing North East motor group find the right cleaning solution for their site.

Having worked with the customer across a number of their businesses throughout the North East, we already had a strong understanding of their cleaning requirements. The decision ultimately came down to machine size, as both models offer very similar cleaning capabilities. The Viper AS530R provides a more compact, slimline option, while the larger Viper AS710R is better suited to covering larger floor areas efficiently.

For this particular site which includes a large vehicle showroom, busy mechanical workshops, and a customer reception lounge, the customer chose the fully refurbished Viper AS710R ride on scrubber dryer to handle the demands of daily cleaning across multiple environments.

By opting for a fully refurbished machine, the customer achieved a significant cost saving compared to purchasing a brand new machine, without compromising on reliability or performance. The machine has been meticulously restored in our HQ workshop and returned to full working condition, including new batteries, squeegees, filters, replacement components throughout, and a full 12-month warranty.

Our refurbished machines continue to offer businesses a dependable and cost-effective alternative, delivering professional cleaning performance at a fraction of the cost of new equipment.
