February Round - Up at CFM
New Customers, Big Deliveries, and a Milestone Worth Celebrating
It has been a packed February here at CFM North East. New customers coming on board, machines going out across the region, ATEX demand continuing to grow, and a rather special milestone from our friends at Nilfisk. Here is a look at what we have been up to this month.
Floorcare: From Wedding Venues to Vehicle Garages
One of the highlights this month was a demonstration of the Viper AS510B pedestrian scrubber dryer at a stunning wedding venue in Rochdale. The venue's marble floors came up brilliantly, and the client was genuinely impressed with the finish the machine achieved. It is a great example of how scrubber dryers are not just for factories and warehouses — any business with large floor areas can benefit from the consistency and quality of a professional machine clean.

We also welcomed a new customer in Stockton-on-Tees after a successful demo of the Viper AS710R ride-on scrubber dryer at a vehicle service garage. The business owner noted a far superior clean compared to their previous machine, and the added peace of mind of having CFM on hand for any future servicing was a real bonus. Though with how robust these machines are, we are not expecting that call any time soon.

Machines Supplied Swiftly at Half Term for Cleaning Contractors
Elsewhere, we delivered an SC351 scrubber dryer to a local care home, sold four Nilfisk SC250 scrubber dryers for various school cleaning contracts — half term being the ideal time for a thorough deep clean — and carried out a demo of a ride-on Viper AS710 with a pedestrian Viper PS480 sweeper at a large logistics company in the North East for a potential contract hire.
We also delivered a hire of the AS710 ride-on scrubber dryer and sold a Viper AS5160 to a large North East based cheese manufacturer. Both are new customers, and it is always rewarding to see businesses across very different sectors choosing CFM for their floorcare needs.
ATEX Industrial Vacuums: Demand Keeps Growing
ATEX-compliant industrial vacuums continue to be one of our busiest areas, and February was no exception. We delivered a Nilfisk T40WPLUS ATEX three-phase vacuum to a local food manufacturer, and our Operations Director, Rich, completed a second site visit to an MOD facility with industrial vacuums in the pipeline. That second visit is worth noting — it reflects the consultative, advisory approach we take. We do not just turn up, quote a price, and leave. We spend time understanding the site, the materials involved, and the compliance requirements before making any recommendations.
Food Manufacturing in Yorkshire
We also conducted a site visit at a food ingredient manufacturer in Yorkshire, demonstrating the Nilfisk T40W Z22 4kW ATEX industrial vacuum for removing large quantities of wheat. The demonstration was a great success, and the vacuum is now being put to excellent use at the facility.

To keep up with growing demand, we placed a large Nilfisk industrial vacuum stock order this month, including both tooling and machines. Our ATEX fleet is expanding because our customers need it to, and we want to make sure we can respond quickly when a site needs equipment.
On the tooling side, we sold a sizeable vacuum tooling order to a local food manufacturing facility — a long-standing local customer who we have been working with for several years.
Servicing: Keeping Machines Running
Our service team completed a large service job on seven machines at a chocolatier and biscuit factory in Sheffield, again one of our longest-standing customers. Keeping machines maintained and running efficiently is just as important as supplying them in the first place, and it is a core part of what we do at CFM.
New Customers and Growing Partnerships
A strong theme running through February has been new customers. a carbon technology facility took delivery of a Viper AS4325B Scrubber Dryer, a large drinks manufacturer and cheese manufacturer both came on board with floorcare equipment, and we are building relationships at new sites across the North East and Yorkshire. At the same time, looking after our long-standing customers who continue to trust us with their equipment needs, which is something we never take for granted.

February also gave us a moment to celebrate alongside our supplier partner, Nilfisk, who marked an incredible 120 years in the cleaning industry. As an approved Nilfisk supplier, we are proud to offer our customers access to their industry-leading range, and we look forward to continuing the partnership for many years to come.
