March Round - Up at CFM

New customers welcomed, top notch services delivered, community sponsorships and a standout dealership conference

March was a high-energy month across sales activity, with strong momentum in both our site visits and demonstrations. The consistent flow of conversations, follow-ups, and hands-on demos helped strengthen relationships with potential clients while building confidence in upcoming opportunities.

Introducing the Brand New Nilfisk CB Industrial Vacuums arrived this week at our HQ workshop.

Floorcare: From Colleges to Car Showrooms, to Royal Air Force Hangers

Supporting operations at RAF Brize Norton was a real hi-light this month, we were proud to supply the Hire of a Viper Scrubber Dryer to RAF Brize Norton, one of the UK’s busiest military air transport bases, a cleaning machine was required in one of the aircraft hangers. What stands out in projects like this is the level of trust placed in both the equipment and the service behind it.

We take pride in being able to support such diverse and challenging applications, whether it’s a commercial facility, an industrial site, or, as in this case, a critical aviation environment.

We also supplied parts and fittings to an onsite Scrubber Dryer at a local training engineering college for their vehicle workshop, and we sold two Viper AS430B Battery scrubber dryers to a northern discount superstore.

Delivering the Right Solution: A Nilfisk VHS120 Z1 for a West Yorkshire Waste Facility

Another standout moment this month was the sale of a VHC120 Zone 1 Industrial Vacuum to a leading UK waste management company based in Wetherby, West Yorkshire. Rich carried out multiple site visits, to meet with the team and assess their operational challenges and get a clear picture of their requirements.

This project highlights the importance of a site visit, combining our own product knowledge with a machine demo, to ensure the right solution is delivered. For more information on the types of Industrial Vacuums that are available check out our full guide.

We also secured the sale of a Nilfisk VHS110 Industrial Vacuum to a packaging manufacturing Plant in Gateshead to a long existing customer.

We supplied a Nilfisk S3 Wet & Dry Industrial Vacuum to a glass manufacturer based in Bishop Auckland on this occasion, we worked closely with the client to provide the unit on a short-term hire basis.

Industrial environments such as glass manufacturing present specific cleaning challenges. Fine dust, shards, and heavy debris require powerful, reliable extraction equipment, selecting the right machine depends on the exact nature of the application and workflow.

By offering a trial period, the client can assess whether the Nilfisk S3 meets their operational needs in real working conditions. This approach not only reduces risk but ensures they can make a fully informed decision before committing.

from Rich- β€œIt is always great to see a sale get over the line, but for me, nothing beats the feeling,  when I have personally attended site, met the team , conducted a demonstration, often the client has changed their mind and direction several times, I am thankful here at CFM North East it is not a hard sell, we are guiding and advising along the way, so when it does pay off, it is a personal achievement but also it is the start of a relationship with the client.”

Sponsorship: CFM supporting the community

At CFM, we are proud to support our local community and invest in emerging talent.

We are delighted to be sponsoring Chonka Services Garage in Bedale for their upcoming car rally season and supporting a promising young golfer from Wetherby Golf Club as he pursues his ambition of becoming a professional golfer.

We wish them both every success in their respective sporting journeys and look forward to following their progress.

The Annual Nilfisk Dealership Conference

Managing Director Paul Nixon and Operations Director Rich Moore attended the 2 day conference set in a beautiful country estate near Manchester.

This event is always a highlight in the calendar, it is a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow industry peers, gain valuable insight into competitors, and understand how businesses are performing across the sector.

As guests we can explore the latest machine innovations through live demonstrations from Nilfisk experts and hear thoughtful perspectives on the outlook and evolving climate.

And of course, no conference would be complete without the brilliant Nilfisk auction to close the event, always a lively, competitive finale filled with spirited bidding wars.

Servicing: Keeping Machines Running

This month, our service team successfully completed several maintenance visits across various Apple Stores throughout the Northeast & Midlands.

We regularly work alongside retail, security, and soft facilities management providers across both the commercial and public sectors. Ensuring equipment is properly maintained and operating efficiently is just as important as supplying it in the first place it’s a core part of what we do at CFM.

As part of this month’s work, our engineers also carried out servicing on 12 Nilfisk industrial vacuums, keeping the team busy and ensuring our clients’ equipment continues to perform at its best.

Price Increase throughout the Industrial cleaning sector:

With price increases now starting to take effect across the sector, many customers are looking to secure stock at our current rates before the changes are implemented. Now is an ideal time to review your requirements and consider stocking up to avoid the impact of upcoming increases.

Getting ahead of these adjustments can help protect budgets, maintain continuity of supply, and ensure projects stay on track without unexpected cost pressures.

β€˜I would without hesitation strongly recommend CFM Northeast to any company looking for a dedicated, knowledgeable and progressive company that hire, supply and maintain all types of cleaning machinery throughout the UK. I have partnered with CFM Northeast for more than 25 years, beginning our relationship at Princes Quay, originally dealing with Dave Fell [retired] and now with Richard Moore and Paul Nixon who have taken the company from strength to strength. I do not envisage this relationship ending any time soon. Thank you for you continued commitment and support.’
